Music And Gender

I grew up listening to a lot of different types of music as a kid, but the main genre that I listened to almost everyday was country music, Either on the way to school in my moms car and hearing it on the radio, To being in the kitchen watching my grandma blast Blake Shelton as she cooked on Sunday mornings. But there was one common theme between all the country music that I listened to, with male artist in country music they always talked about the same thing either drinking, hunting or they talked about how country they really are. Even though I founded the music very catchy it kind of got repetitive as I grew older and that is why I do not listen to much country music today. 

    But there is one artist that really stands out to me in the country music genre today and that person is Morgan Wallen, the reason I find his music so different compared to other artist not just because every song is different and he talks about different things but the fact that he has different features from other artist in different genres of music. 

Even though I did not listen to many female artist in the country music genre, there was one artist that always stood out to me and that person is Carrie Underwood, the reason I think she is so different compared to many other country female artist is because everyone of her songs is a different story and a different type of feeling, compared to a lot of other woman in that industry I personally think she is different and her music speaks to other woman for the right reasons. 

In out current time in the music industry I think a lot of artist in every genre are all following in the same pattern, and personally to me it gets kind of repetitive. But these are some artist I have always found them to be themselves and not somebody there not and I think there awards and there albums and how popular they are really shows that as well.
